Create something new and just for you!

Commissioning new music is a great way to provide a unique and compelling experience for your students, and allow for them to be a part of creating a new work of art from scratch!

  • Commemorate special performances, events, or occasions

  • Celebrate special individuals in your school or community

  • Feature ensemble members (All-state, Seniors, etc)

  • Contribute to the repertoire of new music!

  • All commissioning ensembles and conductors are forever credited on the score and parts!

  • Join together with other local ensembles to jointly commission and premiere new works!

How much does it cost?

The fee for commissioning new music is based on a number of factors! New band or orchestra music is typically charged a fee set by difficulty level and instrumentation. For new Concert Band or Wind Ensemble music a good rule of thumb is to allow for around $1,000 per difficulty level. For string orchestra or choir, more like $400 - $500 per grade level. Chamber and solo music is priced by individual project and range from several hundred to several thousand dollars depending on the length, number of players and difficulty level.

Each project is different, so drop me a line and let’s talk!
