How much does it cost?
There are several factors to consider when considering a new custom arrangement:
Arranging License or Rights Acquisition - If you are intending to use existing music that is not in the public domain as the basis for your show, you must pay a fee to the copyright holder for the right to arrange the show. This can be done through a number of services, or I can help arrange that for you. Assume $400 - $500 per song that you want to have arranged as part of your show…some license fees can be higher! You also have to wait for the license to be approved before work can begin on the arrangement…so plan ahead!
Do you want a full score of winds and percussion? Or just winds? Or just percussion? Grade 1 or Grade 5? Each has their own price! Winds only arrangements (where you may elect to have your percussion instructor write your percussion parts) average around $3000, Winds and Percussion average near $4000. In some cases, either because the grade level of the show is fairly simple, or really complex…these fees may be vary.
